LG showcases its new Ultra HD Transmission technology
LG continues with the surprises at the Mobile World Congress. The latest news is the company showcases its Ultra HD Transmission Technology. It allows the users to transfer smartphone content like video games, movies, images etc. to an Ultra HD Television in real time.
This technology will be a featured in the next generation smartphones and, according to Dr Jong-seok Park, who is President and CEO of the LG EMCC, their owners will be able to enjoy the mobile content they love on the world’s most advanced Ultra HD TVs. Moreover, the Dr thinks that with the help of this technology LG becomes a leader when it comes to display and mobile convergence.
According to the company, the smartphone-TV transmission is much smoother and faster in comparison to previous systems for compression and transfer of mobile videos. To get it going, however, you will need a fast and reliable Wi-Fi connection. The company guarantees the minimal possible data loss and lag and, what is more, the technology automatically adjusts the content to the resolution of the receiving TV, which avoids any flaws in the picture.
LG states that their new technology consumes about twice less power than the rival technologies. This is achieved by facilitating the work of the process and the other hardware parts.
The technology is exhibited in the booth of LG in Hall 3 and will be there during the whole congress.
