LG officially introduced Gold and Red LG G2 limited editions
Gold and Red LG G2 are officially announced
In the beginning of the week the news for new color variant of LG G2 grabbed our attention. The golden G2 appeared on the Samsung’s website in Taiwan. It is offered by the retailer ePrice for 6,900TWD ($562) for the 32GB model. The golden paint looks great on the flagship. Few hours ago LG officially introduced the new variant of the G2 along with red color option for the smartphone. The new models will be manufactured as limited editions. The special occasion for the release of the Gold and Red LG G2 is the week for the celebrations of the Chinese New Year. The design of the new models is almost the same as the original variants in the classic white and black. One of the main differences is in the backplates of the new additions.
The Gold and the Red LG G2 have textured rare panels that are fingerprint prone for more extraordinary appearance and better grip of the handset. We already saw the golden G2 in Taiwan’s retailer website. The company will introduce them in Korea and Singapore as well. The price of the Gold and Red LG G2 will be the same as the black and white models. The 16GB variant of the limited editions costs $496 in Korea. The models with 32GB will be offered at price of $562. Singapore will be among the first markets to receive the Gold and Red LG G2 on 18th of January. The biggest carriers that will launch the device are M1, SingTel and Starhub SGD898 (equal to $701).
There is still no hint from LG whether it will introduce the new color variants of the phone in the States and Europe. LG G2 is the last year’s flagship of the manufacturer that arrives with 5.2-inches screen with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS out of the box. The model is powered by Snapdragon 800 chip. It is LTE enabled and boasts long battery life thanks to its 3000mAh cell.
