LG G3 might be released in May, rumors say
LG G3 to be officially unveiled in May, according to rumors
LG G2 was one of the most impressive flagships for 2013 with its extraordinary panel, powerful Snapdragon 800 CPU and 13MP camera. The New Year means a new flagship coming out from the company and the rumor mill is already delivering gossips and predictions about the upcoming smartphone. Last year the announcement of LG G2 was held a bit late compared to the unveiling of the high-end smartphones of HTC, Samsung and Sony. The rumors for LG G3 suggest that we will see it earlier than August 2014. According to the report in Asiae in Korea the model will be released on 17th of May this year. One of the reasons for the early launching might be the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S5 rumored to happen in March.
The new flagship by Samsung will be the main rival of the LG G3 and there is no doubt that the company will not wait too long before it enters the mobile arena. The report reveals some details about the new smartphone. It will arrive with 5.5-inches display QHD with a resolution of 1440x2560p. This means that it will be definitely bigger than the 5.2-inches predecessor LG G2. No further details are revealed about the CPU or the camera of the phone.
Hopefully the scheduled early launching of the device means more rumors and leaks coming up on this topic. Meantime LG is working on the large-sized phablet LG Optimus G Pro 2. It is expected to arrive before G3, at the MWC event in February. The predecessor of the phablet Optimus G Pro was announced exactly at the MWC last year. It is rumored to sport a 5.9-inches screen QHD. It is still unknown what processor will power the device. The expectations suggest Qualcomm Snapdragon 80x chipset. The camera will provable be OIS shooter. In short – two very impressive phablets are on their way from LG. Stay tuned.
