Jelly Bean update for the US Galaxy S III
Sprint is releasing the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update to its Galaxy S III. The update is carried out to consumers over the air, and each device that receives it will be able to download it automatically.
The update bring to the users Project Butter (for a buttery-smooth UI), Google Now, expandable and actionable notifications in the Notification Area, improved widget placing on any icon-ridden homescreen, as well as lots of other improvement and tweaks.
In Europe, the owners of Galaxy S III have already received their Jelly Bean updates, so it was high time for those in US to get the same treatment. Updates for the other carriers should come in the following weeks, or dare we say, days.
