iPhone 5S in July; Retina iPad mini in October
2013 is going to be a busy one for Apple! That they are going to add more “juicy fruit” to their basket, that’s for sure. What and when? Since all is still hush-hush, what we can do is listening to rumors.
So, Jeremy Horwitz of iLounge rumors about the second-generation iPad mini, codenamed “J85” , and claims the device is set for release in October. The most exciting news about it is that this will be the first iPad mini to feature a Retina display.
Next, Horowitz claims the iPhone 5S has not yet entered mass production, but has a target release date some time in July. It is said to feature a 13-MP Sony rear-camera sensor, better than the iPhone 5’s 8-megapixel. No other specs have been detailed.
Lastly, Horwitz has also provided some details on the fifth-generation iPad. It is said to be code named “J72” and is also planned for a release in October.
Other rumors also claim that Apple will be launching a cheaper iPhone built from plastic for customers on a budget, while another report says Apple is set to go larger than 4-inches.
Of course rumors are rumors, especially with Apple! It’s worth noting however that Horwitz has been right in the past, so we have good reasons to believe him this time, too.
