iPhone 5S and 5C screen replacements coming soon to Apple Store
In Apple Retail Stores we’ll soon be offered some iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C screen repairs along with a bunch of other repairs in-store such as volume buttons replacements, vibrating monitor repair, the rear camera and the special system on both handsets as well as the speaker system. Apple will provide its stores with the special machinery and parts for touchscreen replacements on Apple iPhone 5S and Apple iPhone 5C and they will be used to calibrate the displays. In June, Apple already began to offer in-store display replacements for iPhone for approximately USD 150 for AppleCare+ .
Of course, the warranty is also taken under consideration, so in case it covers the defect, the replacement or repairmen of your Apple iPhone 5S or Apple iPhone 5C will be offered for free. In the other case, there will be a charge, as for example a simple battery replacement will cost approximately USD 80. If you want to replace the conventional home button of your iPhone 5C, that will be charged with USD 29. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear to be the same case with the Touch ID-based home button for iPhone 5S, since Apple doesn’t seem to conduct swaps for this one. It’s being confirmed also that the touchscreen replacements will cost USD 149 for each device. This would take one hour or less to the Apple Store to replace, as for syncing, backing up and replacing content, the amount of take it would take will be much more. This is quite good news, since it’s significantly more affordable to use the offered repair service instead of spending so much money on buying a completely new handset just because of a cracked screen or damaged buttons. Right now, the replacement parts, along with the iPhone calibration machines, training manuals for executing those repairs have already started to arrive in the Apple Stores, so all of this will be possible really soon.
