Invasion of the minis: Galaxy S3 Mini and Galaxy S4 Mini now available in Verizon
Verizon presents the invasion of the minis. That’s right, if you’re a fan of the smaller Samsung phones and you don’t mind the full-sized Verizon logo on the home key, the carrier has now launched two new devices to its arsenal. Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini and Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini both running Android 4.2.2 and everything that a Samsung can offer.
The Galaxy S3 mini is a 4-incher offering a Super AMOLED display with measurements of 800×480 pixels with a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera and a VGA front-facing one. The device operates with a dual-core processor coated at 1GHz, offering 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage plus a microSD card. It runs Samsung’s TouchWiz UI and includes S Beam, WatchON and ISIS Mobile Wallet support. The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini is available in Verizon for $249.99 or you can attach to the offered two-year plan with an asking price of $49.99 and payment of $10.56 per month.
More up-to-date Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini has a larger 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display offering the resolution of 960×540 pixels with a 1.9-megapixel HD front-facing camera, and an 8-megapixel rear-facing one. The smartphone operates with a 1.7GHz dual core processor, offering 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It also includes Samsung’s exclusive software and TouchWiz UI over Android 4.2.2. The device is available at Verizon for $399.99 on the spot, or with a two-year plan with sfirst payment of $99.99 and $16.81 per month.
Both devices are budget friendly and offer pretty decent specs, so if you’re not looking for anything fancy that will break your bank account and you don’t care about playing around with the latest gadgets that come to the market, these adorable minis might be exactly what you need. Let’s be honest, not everyone who owns an expensive last model smartphone actually uses all the technical specs, in fact people usually perform basic tasks that don’t require even half of the RAM or the processing. So a low-end phone like Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini or Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will do everything a smartphone does just fine.
