Instagram Direct feature assure more selective and private sharing
The new feature Instagram Direct in the app provides more possibilities for selective sharing
Instagram users already had a few very nice surprises by the company for their favorite app in the last months. Awhile ago Instagram included a video support in the app. Later on a new version of the application became compatible for the Windows Phone platform. The year is almost over but it seems that Instagram is not finished yet with the nice surprises for its users. The new feature that is included in the app is named Instagram Direct. It provides the possibility for users to limit the sharing of photos and video to a specific device or devices. In this way Instagram is getting more private and convenient for users who want to share something interesting with certain people instead of everyone.
Direct has a similar functionality to private messaging and MMS. The new version of the app is 5.0. It is already available for download from HERE for Android and from HERE for iOS.
It provides the possibility for sending photos and videos for up to 15 people at the same time. The new feature will be set in a dedicated Inbox in the app. In this way users can share pictures and videos easily through the Direct option with certain devices and accounts. With this feature you can see who is seeing the shared photos, as well as the “likes” and the comments for the content. The editing of the videos and pictures happens in the usual way. The sharing is possible via the Share button where users can choose the option to share it with certain people or with everyone. The Instagram Direct can be used even for sending content to people that are not in the list that you are “following.” The receiver will have to approve the request for sending the content in order to see it. Have you tried it yet?
