Informed American is the app for keeping American users informed on Congress activities. It was developed for Windows Phone 8 devices. With it interested users can follow all financial activities, voting, etc. The app helps users to see the recent activities.
There are a number of mid term elections scheduled in many US states this year. The Informed American app can help users who are to vote to get information. They can use the app to form their decisions.
The Informed American app has a Members page. Its default settings have the House and Senate leaders. Users can also see the congressional delegation of their state by pressing the + button. The Bills page shows the recently introduced bills being considered by the Congress. Users can also see the bills by categories. They can do that by pressing the + button. They can explore the house bills, senate bills, etc. The Committee page enables users to see the Congressional Committee activities. Users can filter committees by pressing the + button. The Snapshot page summarizes the whole Congressional activity. There is also a Date page in the Informed American.
The + button helps to display more information. The app also has a back button, as well as a remove and a reorder one. They are found at the bottom of the screen. There is also a search button at the bottom of the screen, under the three dots menu. Users can use it to search for bills, Congress members, etc. There is also a link to the About page of the Informed American app.
When users want to learn more about Congress members, they can tap on a member’s thumbnail. Then they see a number of pages where the member’s activities and relevant information are included. The app is also useful when users want to find out about bills. The information on bills includes sponsors, action history, etc., and the full bill text.
There is a small downside to the app. Users cannot change the default pages. When they open the app they are greeted by membership leaders. Overall the Informed American is useful for keeping informed on Congress activity. It is free and can be downloaded from here.
