Huawei took the wraps off from a new affordable smartphone running on the Android platform. Meet the Huawei Ascend Y530. It is the successor of the Huawei Ascend Y300 released in 2013. The new device sports a modern design with a panel with dimensions 132.5 x 67 x 9.3 mm. It weighs 145 grams.
The handset boasts a 4.5-inch screen with relatively modest resolution of 854 x 480p. The Ascend Y530 works with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. It is armored with a Snapdragon 200 chipset and 512MB RAM under the hood. The storage assures in the model is just 4GB, but you have the possibility to expand it via microSD cards. Ascend runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The manufacturer has customized the Google’s platform with Emotion UI working on top of it.
The primary camera of Huawei Ascend Y530 is 5MP rare shooter with LED flash. On the front panel is located a VGA camera. The phone is provided with different connectivity features, such as Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and HSDPA. The new model works with a battery with a capacity of 1750mAh.
Overall the Huawei Ascend Y530 is an entry-level device that arrives on the mobile arena to compete against the newly released Sony Xperia E1 and other budget models. Huawei did not reveal the exact launch date of the model but it announced that we can expect it soon. The expected price for the model is around $200. The first market that will offer the phone is Germany.
