Huawei Nova 2s debuted in China with dual front-facing cameras
The Chinese OEM Huawei has just added a new member of the Nova series of mid-ranged smartphones, the Huawei Nova 2s. The rumors and leaks about the device have been circling in the tech world for weeks before the official debut of the phone.
The Nova 2s comes with a 6-inch LCD display with 2160 x 1080p resolution. The front panel of the device features a fingerprint reader below the screen. The phone boasts a slim design with metal corpus and narrow side bezels. The hardware integrated in the smartphone includes an octa-core chipset Kirin 960 paired with either 4GB RAM/ 64GB memory or 6GB RAM/ 64GB memory.
In terms of software, the Huawei Nova 2s runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 UI on top. Among the top features of the new handset are the cameras. It has a 16MP color sensor and 20MP monochrome sensor on the rear panel. The aperture is f/1.8. The front-facing cameras of the device are a 20MP sensor and a 2MP camera for a blurry background effect and more impressive selfies.
Nova 2s provides a microSD card reader for expansion of the storage. It is a dual SIM smartphone. Among the connectivity features of the model are also a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 4G LTE are also part of the phone’s capabilities. Huawei released the smartphone in China. The price of the 4GB RAM model is around $408 retailer price. The 6GB variation is offered at $453 off-contract. It is still unknown whether the Nova 2s will be available to international markets. We will wait and see. It is offered in a few color versions, gray, blue, rose fold and black.
