Huawei confirms new 6.1” smartphone
Huawei has announced to have been busy with the development of a monster-competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Note II. This indeed comes as a confirmation to the recent rumors that the company was working on an oversized smartphone, to be called ‘Ascend Mate’, with a massive 6.1-inch full HD 1080p display and featuring an in-house 1.8GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM.
Huawei Senior Vice President Yu Chengdong not only confirmed the rumors, but also promised that the new device shall be more powerful and shall have a “cooler” design, slimmer bezel, better grip, more stunning display and longer battery life – all these compared to the Galaxy Note II, that is.
It maybe that we see the Ascend Mate announced as early as at the annual Consumer Electronics Show in January.
