Huawei B199 debuts on the mobile arena
The mid-ranger Huawei B199 is officially announced
In April 2013 Huawei officially announced the budget Android powered smartphone Huawei A199. The company has just unveiled the successor of the smartphone, the Huawei B199. It is equipped with a lot of the features and capabilities of the original device. For example, the B199 also supports dual-SIM only 3G. The new device arrives with a 5.5-inches screen with a resolution of 720 pixels. The rare cover of the Huawei B199 is metal-clad. It boasts beautiful sleek design with an ergonomic shape. The phone runs on the Android platform. On the inside of the phablet is working a quad-core CPU with a Snapdragon chip on board, clocked at 1.6GHz. It works with 2GB RAM. The storage of the phone is 16GB with the possibility to expand it via microSD slot.
Under the hood of the B199 is working the large battery with a capacity of 3000mAh. This is an upgrade from the 2100mAh battery assured in its predecessor Huawei A199. The primary camera of the smartphone is with 13MP located on the back. There is a front shooter with 5MP. The new addition to the Huawei family arrives on 20th of January. It will be released in China. The company has not shared its plans to offer the model outside the country. The expected price of Huawei B199 is around $330. The phone seems to be purposed for the developing markets.
If we summarize the advantages of B199 before its predecessor, it boasts a slightly larger display with 5.5-inches instead of 5-inches. Its processor is also more powerful with the Snapdragon chip. The camera of Huawei B199 is certainly improved to 13MP instead of 8MP in A199. The new device will be working on the Emotion UI over the Android OS. We are yet to find out more information about the carriers that will launch the new smartphone in the country. The expectations suggest that it will arrive at China Telecom, just like the A199.
