HTC Zara details leaked: 4.5-inch screen, 1.4 GHz processor
A few days ago we reported that HTC was preparing two new devices. The first is the well-known HTC One Max, while the second is still unconfirmed. HTC Zara was mentioned in a publication by China Times, but we did not get much information about it. All we learnt was that HTC Zara is a low/ mid range smartphone with a plastic body expected to arrive in late 2013.
Today, we got more information about the device. So, the HTC Zara is said to have a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. The display will be qHD, according to our sources. The phone will sport a dual- core 1.4 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor with 1 GB of RAM. The list with the specifications includes 8 GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card. The phone has WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. HTC Zara is expected to have an Ultra Pixel main camera and 1.3 MP secondary front-facing shooter. Finally, the new phone should run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean enriched with the Sense 5.0.
Another source suggests that the future HTC Zara will be a mix between HTC One and HTC Butterfly. Of course you should take all these leaks with a grain of salt. HTC Zara is far away from an official release, therefore all these details are subject to change. But, one is sure – the HTC Zara will run Android, despite some rumors saying it could be a Windows Phone. HTC Zara is rumored to arrive at Sprint in the US, while the Chinese version will feature a dual-SIM slot. We expect HTC to make an announcement in September during the IFA event in Berlin… and if we won’t see the HTC Zara, at least we will be temporarily satisfied by the HTC One Max.
