HTC to reveal a One M8-like phone with a 13mp camera
HTC is also working on a selfie phone and Nexus branded tablet
HTC has scheduled a big press-event taking place in New York on October 8. At this event titled ”Double Exposure” HTC is expected to introduce a waterproof Action camera similar to GoPro, but it seems there will be more surprises for all fans.
A rumor has it that HTC will unveil a high-end phone called HTC Eye. According to the information, the Eye will be quite similar to the HTC One M8 but with a better rear camera having a 13MP sensor. HTC has been criticized a lot for One M8’s camera capabilities and despite the new UltraPixel camera the current flagship device failed to satisfy those who are deeper into the smartphone photography.
In addition to the Eye, it looks like there will be another camera-centric device but this time focused on front-facing capabilities. The future smartphone could have at least a 5MP front camera for better selfies. Using advanced front cameras is the latest trend among the hardware makes. Companies like Microsoft already announced their sefie phones and we are quite curious to learn what HTC has prepared for us.
HTC’s event in October could also give us the new Nexus branded tablet. Leaked certification documents revealed that the upcoming tablet would be featuring the new Tegra K1 chip and would be named HTC Nexus 9. Google can and will most probably, have their own event around 8th of October where the tablet could share the stage with Android L. Stay tuned for more news on HTC.
