The Dual SIM HTC One targets foreign students in the UK as well as business users who tend to travel regularly
HTC has just announced that the dual-SIM version of its flagship HTC One is already available for pre-order for the UK. According the official HTC UK store, the dual-SIM flexibility will meet UK’s most awarded handset with an active solution for users to receive calls from either SIM at any time or to switch between both cards seamlessly.
Similar to the HTC One Max, this one also features a removable back panel as well as a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 64GB.According to HTC, the specific product targets foreign students in the UK as well as business users who tend to travel regularly. The HTC One Dual SIM is perfect in those terms as it keeps its users connected through multiple numbers at the same time.
Aside from that, this is the same powerful smart device that features 4.7-inch full HD display with the resolution of 1920×1080 pixels that is protected by Gorilla Glass 2. The top-quality device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 300 quad core processor at 1.7GHz Krait with 2GB of RAM. The integrated storage is 32GB but as we mentioned earlier, it’s set for expansion up to 64GB via microSD card. The camera consists of 4-megapixel auto-focus LED flash rear cam recording HD video at 1080p and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing cam. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone supports Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi, but there’s no word about LTE connectivity, which means you’ll max out at 3G speeds.
The HTC One Dual SIM has a pre-order price of £494.99 at the official HTC store for UK HERE.
Meanwhile, the General Manager of HTC UK, Peter Frolund gives an official statement about that move:
HTC is changing the premium mobile market for international users. This is the first time we have released a dual SIM version of one of our premium handsets in the UK which means that users no longer have to compromise on the quality of their phone to avoid costly international calls or separate their work and personal life. We’re creating a new approach and one that we believe will appeal to business users, foreign nationals and international students alike.
