HTC One can finally be purchased on Verizon
The users of Verizon have been waiting way too long for the new HTC One and now it seems that Verizon is not really willing to sell it cheaply. Although the device was said to be available tomorrow on August 22 the sign up page for the device still stands on their website. It definitely seems that Verizon is trying to not give an incentive for their customers to buy the HTC One but rather it seems to be pushing the crowd towards the Motorola DROIDs.
Otherwise it is in no way sensible to put a device like the HTC One in the drawer for so long. It could be the possibility that Verizon is really trying to make its customers tired of waiting and to make them more willing to buy the Motorola DROID Ultra and Motorola DROID MAXX.
There is still no clear information to whether Verizon will offer the silver, the blue or the black version of the handset. However, it seems sure that the HTC One will be offered with 32GB storage and for $599.99 outright or for $199.99 with a two-year contract.
Even though it seems far more logical for Verizon to have offered the HTC One on far lower price to bind more customers with a contract it seems that the company is not much interested from clients generated from selling HTCs. Everything does not seem quite right from our perspective but Verizon may have other motivation except the profit from the handset at this point. It may turn out that the Motorola handsets are more profitable than the HTC ones especially if Verizon has signed a deal with Motorola selling the new Droid series, otherwise they would have had the HTC One in Verizon stores sooner. For now this is all that we can understand from the situation expect more comments upon future news.
