HTC M8 specs confirmed: 5-inch display, quad-core 2.3 GHz CPU, 2 GB RAM
HTC M8 details and specs have emerged online
All rumors and leaks about the future HTC M8 are starting to intensify. Two weeks ago, we saw the first leaked images and possible specs of the HTC M8. Today, we have more information, this time a bit more detailed regarding the phone’s innards. Our source of information is the AnTuTu benchmark, where the future model has been tested and compared with other devices.
The device listed in the benchmark is HTC 0P6B12, which we find identical to HTC M8. A score of 36062 has been assigned to the device, which places it next to other high-end models like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The screenshot below confirms most of the specs, like the 5-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 pixels and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974AB) processor at 2.3 GHz.
But AnTuTu reveals even more. According to the benchmark, HTC M8 is running Android 4.4 Kit Kat. The phone will have a 4 MP UltraPixel camera at the back and a 2.1 MP front – facing shooter. The processor will be backed by 2 GB of RAM, while the internal storage is 16 GB. The graphic adapter is said to be Adreno 330. According to AnTuTu, HTC M8 will have a bit improved specs, compared with the current HTC One. As you can see on the picture below, HTC 8M performs better in the tests and its excellence is significant especially on 3D Graphic and Multi Tasks tests.
HTC One has a smaller display (4.7 inch), an older processor (Snapdragon 600) and the same amount of RAM (2 GB). Importantly, HTC M8 will come with the latest Android 4.4 Kit Kat which is great.
