HTC Desire 501 with dual-SIM appears on HTC India site
Dual-SIM variant of HTC Desire 501 is purposed for India
HTC is one of the companies on the market that releases high-end smartphones as well as a wide range of mid-range and low-end models for developing markets and customers that are looking for an affordable handset. The latest three additions to the family of HTC are HTC Desire 700 dual-SIM, HTC Desire 601 dual-SIM and HTC Desire 501. The third mentioned phone was the only one that doesn’t support dual-SIM. However the latest news reveals that a dual-SIM version of the Desire 501 is ready for the market.
The new mid-range device is purposed for the Indian market. It was spotted in the official website HTC India with the message “coming soon.” The HTC Desire 501 is known as the budget version of HTC One Mini. It arrives with a 4.3-inches Super LCD 2 display WVGA. It is powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. The main camera of Desire 501 is with 8MP, while on the face panel is located 2.1MP. Both cameras are pretty decent for the category of the models. They are built with f/2.0 apertures. The phone supports two microSIM slots. The primary camera has the capability to record 720p video with the ImageChip technology of HTC.
The phone runs on the HTC Sense 4.0 UI with the characteristic features for the platform. The processor of HTC Desire 501 is dual-core clocked at 1.15GHz paired with 1GB RAM. It boasts 8GB storage with a microSD slot for additional memory. The battery of HTC Desire 501 is with a capacity of 2100mAh. The phone will be available in a blue shell, at least for now. It sports a compact body with dimensions 128.5×66.9×9.8mm. Its weight is 130 grams. The manufacturer has not revealed yet the price of the device. It is still unknown when the smartphone will be available for sells. The dual-SIM smartphones usually are very well accepted by users.
