HTC D616W and HTC D516W spotted in the AnTuTu database
HTC D616W and HTC D516W results from benchmark tests leak
HTC is having the busiest time in the last few months preparing some new models smartphones of different categories getting ready to debut soon. Just recently two new handsets were spotted in the database of AnTuTu, the HTC D516W and the HTC D616W.
The HTC D516W is the smartphone with more modest capabilities and specs. The leak does not reveal its screen size, but we do know that it features a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS. The D516W is powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8610 CPU and the modest 768MB RAM. It works with Adreno 305 GPU. The provided built-in memory is only 2GB. Even though the leak does not reveal this, it is quite certain that the model will support microSD cards. The main camera is 5MP on the back coupled with a 2MP front shooter.
The more advanced device of the two is HTC D616W. It is expected to be part from the Desire line mid-rangers by HTC. The most impressive about the new handset is its octa-core processor with MediaTek MT6592 chip. It is clocked at 1.6GHz and works in configuration with 1GB RAM. It is provided with Mali-450 GPU. HTC D616W sports a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 720 pixels. The operating system integrated in the model is Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, according to rumors. The built-in memory in the device is 4GB. D616W is armored with an 8MP main shooter and 2MP snapper on the front panel. This model is revealed along with the price of CNY 2000 (equal to €240).
The results of the benchmark tests in AnTuTu reveal that the Adreno GPU performs better compared to the Mali-450. The performances of the processors show better results for the octa-core MediaTek CPU.
