HTC Butterfly, the international Droid DNA
The first phone on the market with a 1080p display was the HTC J Butterfly and it made its debut in Japan. Then the company brought it to the American carrier Verizon Wireless naming it ‘Droid DNA’. Now the company has announced the global variant of the smartphone.
It is called Butterfly, and its specifications seem to be identical to the American Droid DNA – the same 5-inch Super LCD 3 screen with 1920 x 1080 resolution, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC running at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal memory (expandable with a microSD card slot), eight-megapixel main camera, 2.1MP front-facer, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, and NFC. Everything is powered by a 2,020mAh battery and the platform is Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with Sense on top of it.
