HTC Butterfly 2 is coming to markets in Asia on September 2
HTC Butterfly 2 has the same specs and capabilities as the J Butterfly
HTC J Butterfly was announced just few days ago. It has the same design and very similar capabilities and specs to the latest flagship of the Taiwanese giant – HTC One M8. The main difference is that the J Butterfly is packed in a water-resistant shell. Instead of the Duo Camera equipped in the flagship, the new device comes with a 13MP sensor on the back. HTC J Butterfly was officially unveiled in Japan by the carrier KDDI. The phone is ready to conquer more territories outside the country, like India, Singapore, China, Thailand and Malaysia.
The name of the smartphone purposed for the markets in Asia is HTC Butterfly 2. It is armored with a 5-inch glass with FullHD resolution. In the heart of the handset is ticking quad-core silicon with Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chip. It is paired with 2GB RAM in a configuration that delivers brilliant performance. There is a microSD slot for memory in case that the 16GB or 32GB provided in the phone out-of-the-box are not enough. It is powered by the Google’s platform, the Android 4.4 KitKat update.
As we mentioned above, the main camera of the HTC Butterfly 2 (as well as HTC J Butterfly) is not the characteristic for HTC One M8 UltraPixel Duo Camera. On the back of the new model is set a 13MP camera with 28mm lens, f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and plenty of features. It has the capability to record 1080p video. On the face panel of Butterfly 2 is provided a 5MP sensor for video calls. In the gut of the phone works a 2700mAh battery.
Among the extra features in the high-end device include LiveStage Signal Processing Technology for exceptional sound. The HTC Butterfly 2 will hit the markets on 2nd of September. It comes in blue, red and white shells.
