HTC & Apple … And they lived happily ever after… ?

The patent wars between Apple, Samsung and HTC are truly a ‘clash of titans’. Negotiations have failed, claims have been filed with courts, scandalous trials have occupied top place in the world news for weeks, monstrous penalties and compensations have been paid … And as one case closes, there flames up another.

Concerning the HTC – Apple global patent settlement and 10-year licensing agreement, announced earlier this month, a media representative recently asked whether it was true that HTC must pay Apple between $6 and $8 per Android phone. To this the HTC CEO Peter Chou replied that such reports were “outrageous.” He also added: “ I believe we have a very, very happy settlement and a good ending”.

Well, fairy-tales may just come true sometimes, you know.
