Google is at the final stage of the development of a new model smartwatch
The industry of high-tech wearable devices is growing rapidly in last few months. Everything shows that the next 2014 will be full of surprises and exciting events in this sphere with at lease few breakthrough devices arriving in the mobile world. Google already fascinates the tech enthusiasts with its unique and innovative eye-wear the Google Glass. The mobile giant announced the device almost a year ago but is not rushing into launching it until the Glass meets the expectations of developers and users. The release of the wearable computing device is scheduled for the second half of 2014 (unless Google changes its plans).
The Glass is not the only wearable device that the company is working on. According to sources of Wall Street Journal the mobile giant has entered in last-stage development of new model smartwatch. The rumors for the existence of the Nexus smartwatch (this is how we will call it for now) have been emerging on the web in the last few weeks. According to recent leak of the concept for the smartwatch it will work on the Android platform and will arrive with support for Google Now. This will make the smartwatch a very personal device that will use the information you have in Google Now, like email account etc to service you better.
The new smartwatch will be able to pair up with smartphones – a capability that we can see in most of the innovative wrist wear on the market today. Sources reveal that Google is taking seriously the issue that most of the tech timepieces have – the battery life. The main focus of the company is on reducing of the power consuming features to make the smartwatch more practical for everyday use. The first rumors about the launch date of the new device suggested the second half of 2014. The recently published report reveals that Google is almost t ready for announcement so we can expect it just few months from now.
