New rumors reveal that Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is heading to AT&T
The rumors about the upcoming large tablet Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 are getting more and more intensive, and you what this means – the slate will be announced sooner than later. Thanks to the famous reliable tipster @evleaks we have an idea about the US carrier that will be among the first to launch the device. One of the latest tweets of the gossiper reveals that the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 will land on AT&T’s shelves.
The rumors are rather believable if we look back through the years and the partnership between the Korean manufacturer and one of the biggest mobile operators in the Sates. The first high-end phablet released by the company, the Samsung Galaxy Note was launched first from AT&T. Some of the other devices that were released by the carrier are Samsung Focus, Samsung Focus 2 and Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. The model number of the upcoming tablet is SM-P907A. The tipster did not share more information about the slate, except that it is expected to be launched within Q1 2014. Samsung has already released tablets with different screen sizes, from 7 and 8 inches to 10.1-inches model.
The niche for the larger tablets is still relatively free. It seems that in 2014 the 12+ inches tablets will be one of the trends amongst manufacturers and users. For now we know that Apple and Samsung are working on 12+ devices. The leaked specs for the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 in the last weeks describe a high-end device with similar specs to Galaxy Note 3, but with larger display. It is expected to arrive with a resolution of 2560x1600p. It will be powered by a quad-core processor with Snapdragon 800 chipset paired with 3GB RAM. In terms of software many predict that Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 will be working on the newest Android 4.4 KitKat OS. There is a big chance that Samsung will release several variants of the tablet. One of them will certainly support 4G LTE connectivity.
