The price of the RPG video game is $15,99 on the Google Play Store
It has been reported that Square Enix, the famous Japanese video game developer and publisher and most known for its role-playing games, has released for Android another title of their arguably most famous franchise – Final Fantasy VI.
Final Fantasy VI came out way back in 1994 as the sixth installment of the iconic series. Innovations included the ability to play all the main characters as the game’s protagonist, and to this day, its epic story intertwining each of their fates is still highly rated and wildly popular.
The story of Final Fantasy VI revolves around a thousand years after the War of the Magi, which left everything in destruction and misery that even magic itself had disappeared from the world. After this disastrous event, humankind has remade the world with the help of iron, gunpowder, steam engines and machines. However, there is one who still possesses the power of magic – a young girl named Terra, who was a slave to the evil Empire. She, with the help of a young man named Locke, must join forces to fight the evil that is upon them.
The graphics for the game have been recreated to a T, with one of the graphic designers Kazuko Shibuy, who was involved in the Final Fantasy franchise from the very beginning, working on the main character and supervising the recreated of the game for mobile devices.
The players can develop their character any way they want, there are plenty of different abilities available and a magic system for controlling spells and summoning. This is also the first game of the series to include the Ultima Weapon, which is the most powerful sword in the game.
This smartphone release includes the new magicites and events that were introduced in the 2006 remake and some events have been optimized to be played with user-friendly touch controls.
Final Fantasy VI was last updated to version 1.0.0 on January 15th, 2014. Its size is 493M and it requires Android 3.2 and up. You can download the game for $15,99 HERE.
