How to extend the battery life with iOS 7?
Apple has extended the number of apps working in the background on the iPhone and other devices running the latest version of the operating system iOS 7. This is very good from a user’s perspective – users have much more options than the old iOS 6, where only a limited number of apps could be run in the background. Now with iOS 7, you can open your favorite app and set it working into background. You can access the latest stock prices, to have fresh information about the weather, or to use some location and tracking service. But, with the increased number of apps you will definitely decrease the battery life. That’s why Forbes has presented some tips for saving the battery of your iOS 7 device.
Limit the number of apps running on background
Maybe the most important thing you should do is to limit the number of apps running on background. You can browse through all the apps and disallow those you don’t like to use working on background. Go to the Settings menu, then General -> Background App Refresh.
Kill the apps you don’t use
This will increase the energy efficiency and extends the battery life of your iOS 7 device. Some apps do background and that can drain the battery of your iPhone. To kill the apps you don’t use press Home twice -> swipe left or right to see the app -> close the apps you want by flicking them to the top
Turn off the radios
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are battery drainers. That’s why you should turn them off. You can do that through the main settings menu.
Dim the display
You can set your screen dimming soon after you press a button or an icon. You can set the screen dimming to a lower level of brininess possible.
