Expected sales boom for iPhone 5
Having just released their iPhone 5, Apple can be but only delighted with the first forecasts for its market performance. The sales of the new smartphone are expected to reach 8 to 10 million units this month alone, which is impressive considering that today is the very first day of pre-order, while stores start selling it on September 21st.
The total iPhone shipments (including 4 and 4S) for the third quarter are expected to reach 33 million. As the phone reaches other countries (over 100), we might well witness a sales record in Q4.
Whether or not iPhone 5 is the best smartphone, it surely is the best sold!
