Ematic presented a new budget Android tablet – Ematic EGP008
Yet another budget Android tablet on the horizon. Ematic – the tablet, TV and mp3 manufacturer has just presented its new product named Ematic EGP008. The new Android tablet has a budget –friendly price tag and it comes with an 8-inch display. With a size between the popular 7 and 10-inch models, Ematic tries to find a new niche, attracting those consumers for which the price is of utmost importance. So far, so good – Ematic brings to the market a product having at least two strong points – first, a promising size, and second – an attractive price. Now, let’s have a look at the rest.
Ematic EGP008 has a dual-core processor clocked at 1.6 GHz teamed up with a quad-core GPU and supported by 1 GB of RAM. The EGP008 has 8 GB internal storage and 5 GB cloud storage. Additionally, it includes a microSD slot and two cameras – 2 MP front –facing shooter and 3 MP camera on the back. As we mentioned, Ematic EGP008 comes with a 8-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. The display is just perfect for watching 720p videos, but on the other hand the pixel density is too low – only 160 ppi. This tablet is running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, while the 3000 mAh battery gives you up to 10h for browsing, Ematic reveals.
Ematic EGP008 is priced at $130 – a very good price level. You can find the new model at Walmart in the US. As you could see, Ematic offers a decent tablet at a very low price. At the same time, there are not many tablets within the 8-inch category on the market right now. Therefore, the EGP008 could be a good option for those of you who are on a budget and not too picky about brands.
