Dayframe- your new Android photo frame
Just as a combination of a photo browser, screen saver and photo slideshow application, the Dayframe app (developed by Cloud.tv) made it to beta testing two days ago. Dayframe app works with your favorite photo sharing services to provide you with an ongoing slideshow based on your friends, family, and basically your interests. Browse and share photos between Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Google+, Dropbox, Flickr, Twitter, 500px, and more and it is designed to automatically play when you’re not using your device. Once you’re set up, that’s it. Dayframe takes care of everything. No check-ins, no remembering, just set it and forget it. Dayframe also enables you to play sequentially through your selected photostreams, updating each stream just before it airs and not to mention you can easily go back and ahead through photos and streams and long-press to zoom.
By signing into a number of services you can pull your own photos or you can choose from many categories from your feed with photos of others as you can even set a timer for streaming a screensaver. When you pick the best time to play the photo you chose as a screensaver, the app won’t run all night or drain your battery.
The Dayframe app features also:
- Fully automated photo frame
- All-in-one Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Google+, Dropbox, Flickr, Twitter, 500px, and more
- Smart / enviromentally-aware auto-player
- Screensaver timer w/ power settings
- Custom playlist
- Photo gallery
- Unlimited photostreams
- Left & right side menus
- Immersive mode
- Onboarding & discovery
- Built-in guides
- KITKAT native (built on sdk 19)
Even though sometimes some of the pictures are in low quality, especially when it comes to link- sharing and the picture scrolling might be a little bit distracting, Dayframe is simple- you sign into your account, pick up the categories and there you go. The categories add interesting feeds to view your photos and its interface is really well done with cool effects, it simply looks good.
