BLU Life Pro – a new ultra thin 5-inch HD smartphone costs $299
BLU Life Pro is world’s thinnest 5-inch HD smartphone
Blue Products has just introduced its new product. Dubbed BLU Life Pro, it claims to be world’s thinnest smartphone having a 5-inch screen. The Life Pro is just 6.98 mm thick, or about the size of a pencil. The other measurements for BLU Life Pro include 147 mm x 72.1 mm, and a weight of 165 grams. As far as the operating system, this model runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
The 5-inch HD display has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels which translates into a ppi of 293. Unlike the other models from the Life line-up, this model is built around an upgraded processor – a quad-core 1.5 GHz backed by 1 GB of RAM. BLU Products has designed BLU Life Pro with 16 GB of internal storage and without a micro SD slot. There are two cameras. Up front there is a 5 MP shooter for video calls, while a 12 MP camera with Bright+ Technology is positioned at the back. BLU Life Pro is powered by a 2500 mAh battery for up to 12 hours talk time. The phone is 3G enabled, but it doesn’t have LTE support.
This is not the first BLU model from the ‘Life’ series of devices. BLU Products previously launched three models called View (5.7-inch), Play (4.7-inch) and One (with a 5.0-inch display). All models have the same operating system and display resolution (1280 x 720), but BLU Life Pro is the first model from the series having a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor (the other models have quad-core 1.2 GHz processors).
According to the company, the new BLU Life Pro will be available soon at a number of online retailers including Amazon for a price of $299.
