A new smartphone called Blackphone s officially announced by Silent Circle and Geeksphone. The companies describe the new handset as the world’s first smartphone that gives the users full control over their privacy and sharing of the information. The advantage of the Blackphone is the perfect combination of high-end hardware and the unique platform PrivatOS. This new operating system is bases on the Google’s Android platform which provides for users the features and the apps they like. The PrivatOS provides enriched security, such as encrypted messages, transfer of data, saving of files, video and pictures etc. The Blackphone is the device that will not compromise users’ information and data on their device. The project for the smartphone is the result of the work of many specialists, including Phil Zimmermann. The company does not reveal the exact specs of the device but it claims that the Blackphone scores very high in the benchmark tests „among the top performers from any manufacturer.” The extraordinary device is expected to be announced at MWC 2014.
