BlackBerry 10 at carriers soon after RIM’s launch event
Good news about the RIM BlackBerry 10! The company, as we know, was scheduling its new “berry” launch event for late January, but it didn’t really provide any information about when the hardware would actually become available.
The good news is that according to some comments made for Reuters by the company’s COO, Kristian Tear, the BB10 phones will be up for sale in stores “not too long after” the January 30 launch event. Previously, we had heard that the phones would be available sometime March only. While Tear’s comments still leave some room for interpretation, we’re left with the optimistic impression that we should be seeing BB10 handsets hit carrier shelves sometime in February.
