Before the announcement: Samsung Galaxy S4 photos
Now, when we have seen Samsung Galaxy S4 announcement, it seems a bit funny how we expected the leaks and read the rumours with excitement. If you remember, there were a few leaks of photos over the past several days, and in the end – two leaks of videos from China. At first the pictures that leaked were dim and blurry and you could see only the outline of the phone. In fact, the first leaks showed devices that, now, after we have seen the original, aren’t even close to Samsung Galaxy S4 – there were even some that didn’t have rounded corners. Maybe these were prototypes or fake pictures – who knows? The best picture, however, was released by Samsung itself in Twitter three days before the official press conference in New York.
The picture (you see it above) was tweeted in the Twitter profile of Samsung Mobile US, accompanied by a tease that the ‘next big thing’ is about to come. Samsung Mobile US even asked its followers who was ready for the unpacking on March 14. It seemed then that a lot of people were ready – 1825 retweets, 403 in favourites, God knows how many comments.
And the event was really a hit – we heard J.K. Shin speak a lot about the device and how it is designed to make life easier and better. He emphasised that Samsung Galaxy S4 was created according to the needs of the existing customers of the company and will try to provide all its fans with the ultimate mobile experience. Then Ryan Biden, the head of Samsung Product Department in USA, spoke a lot of the specifications of the phone, the camera, the different features and much more. They were demonstrated with the help of little scenes and Will Chase, who gave his best to make the show as colourful as possible.
