BBM hits 10 million downloads for Android and iOS. Scores No. 2 at iTunes
Considering the fact that the number of iOS users is insane and also these same users are quite curious to try on the popular BBM app, the following results might not be so suprising.
BBM was released less than 24 hours ago and yet BBM for iOS climbed way over the second position in iTunes in the App Store Free category and this is only temporary. It’s a matter of time when BBM for iOS will hit the No.1 position. Actually, the popularity of the app is so huge that there’s a threat of server overloads, so those who are downloading BBM should stand by in the waitlist for a while before signing up. Either way, users who were pre- registered with BlackBerry were happy to use the application instantly.
The actual number of the downloads of BBM for Android, it is yet to be officially revealed, but we can only imagine that number’s ludicrous rate. According to what Google reported earlier, the range of these downloads starts at 1 million and might spread to 5 million, however the latest figures show even better results. In fact, 10 million people have downloaded BBM for both iOS and Android and this is only the beginning.

BBM scores 5 star rating by 69% of the 93 000 people who downloaded the app for Android and left a comment at the Google Play Store.
