Major update BBM 2.0 brings voice calling for the iOS and Android versions
It seems like yesterday when the BBM app was launched for iOS and Android. A new major update for the both versions of the app is rolling out to users. The BBM 2.0 improves the user experience by bringing bug fixes and new features. One of the most important of them is the including of voice calling. The new feature works on cellular and Wi-Fi connection. This means that users that have the BBM 2.0 installed on their devices and are connected to the internet can make calls with other BBM contacts wherever they are located. The best part of the update is that the voice calling is free of charge. Among the rest of the goodies in the update is also the support for BBM Channels compatible for Android and iOS. It is an awesome feature for connecting of users with similar interests. You can either join channels or start one by yourself and find new people.
One of the most convenient improvements in the update is the location sharing via Glympse. Users can easily share their real-time location with other BBM contacts in order to arrange a meeting or when you are letting people that you are running late. Users can take advantage from the support for Dropbox. Sharing of all kinds of files has never been easier thanks to the possibility to send files directly from the folders in your Dropbox account. Even more – when you are receiving files you can either save them directly to your smartphone or add them to your account.
