Battery life test for the latest smartphones
One of the most noticeable trends in the digit world is the success of devices with big screens. Another exciting trend is the support of the blazing fast internet 4G LTE. If you think that this is all the new that bring dynamics and changes in the mobile world, you think wrong. Except improved features, new services, user friendly software and tons of new apps, the main rivals compete comparing their battery possibilities. Today, it is not enough to use a fast smartphone with a great performance. The modern devices must be tough and reliable in different environments and they must be able to live long enough during the day to provide you with everything you need.
Which modern phone do you think has won the competition about the most reliable battery life? According to recently provided tests on the main devices of the big manufacturers on the market, Samsung Galaxy S4 shows the best performance of the battery in call time and internet usage. The capacity of the Galaxy S4 battery is 2600 mAh which provides 1,051 minutes of call time and 405 minutes of internet usage before the owner of the device has to put it for charging. In fact, the possibilities of the battery of Galaxy S4 give double more life to the device in call time compared to the iPhone 5. The Apple’s iPhone 5 has its own advantages – its 1,440 mAh battery charges fully for the shortest amount of time (takes only 141 min).
The tests provided on the batteries have been held in equal conditions for all devices, using a phone network simulator. The screen brightness of all the phones is set to the same level so all of them will have an equal start. The tests are provided with fully charged batteries. The call time has been tested with continues call and the internet usage has been tested with special webpage over 3G.
Sony Xperia Z also showed great results on the tests for call time and internet usage – it scored a little lower result than Samsung Galaxy S4. Most of the flagship devices are high end smartphones that sell for over £400, except Google Nexus 4 that can be purchased for £239 and also showed impressive results on the tests.
