AT&T would be ‘toast’ after T-Mobile ’s CES announcement
T-Mobile CEO John Legere might have the last laugh
Yesterday, AT&T tried to tempt T-Mobile users with its latest switcher promo offer, right after the rumors suggesting that T-Mobile was about to go after other carrier EFT fees. AT&T announced their latest offer for a limited time that would give T-Mobile users up to $450 per line once they make the switch.
This move hasn’t been unexpected and right from the beginning, we’ve learned that the potential credit of $450 depends mainly on getting service and trading in another carrier device. As much as the move is quite clever, it appears that T-Mobile CEO John Legere might have the last laugh after all, as he believes that AT&T would be toast after T-Mobile’s CES announcement.
According to John Legere, AT&T are quite desperate after the terrible Q4 and holiday for them and he believes that they can’t fool the customers. The CEO adds that nothing has changed and customers would still feel the well-known AT&T plan the retailer is so famous for. He also drops the bomb that in few days, at CES 2014, T-Mobile will turn all competition to be toast after a huge announcement. In fact, when AT&T called off the plan to buy T-Mobile, it was required to pay a whole bunch of money bags to the smaller carrier and this money, as the CEO claims himself, has been invested in better alternatives. In that term, Legere mentions far superior network as well as un-carrier moves that have taken tons of AT&T customers on board.
So here’s another of the hundreds reasons to be anticipating CES- amongst all announcements, we’re also about to witness T-Mobile’s new strategy in action, as the carrier claims that will launch the latest offer dubbed Un-carrier 4.0. In all, perhaps T-Mobile has the Steve Jobs thing going on so we’ll be aware of all the stuff we didn’t even know we wanted.
