AT&T getting ready to launch Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear on 4 Oct
The freshly announced Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phablet and the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch are making their way to the US market. One of the biggest carriers in the country, AT&T has announced that it is planning to release both devices on 4th of October, Friday. The new phablet will be offered for $299.99 tied in two-year contract with the mobile operator. The company provides the option for its customers to subscribe for AT&T Next which gives the possibility for an upgrade of the device after one year. Those of you who choose AT&T Next will be paying $35 per month for 20 months in total. They will have the possibility to get the new generation phone after one year.
The new smartwatch Samsung Galaxy Gear will be available separately from the phablet. The costs for the wearable device will be $299.99 without contract. The smartwatch has the capability to pair with the Galaxy Note 3 via Bluetooth connectivity. For now this is the only device that can work properly with the smartwatch.
Samsung has promised to improve the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to be compatible to work with the device. This will be possible after the certain models get the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update that brings the needed Bluetooth LE support. For those of you who are wondering whether to buy the high-end large-sized model, we remind you that it sports a 5.7-inches Super AMOLED display, 1080x1920p, which makes 386ppi. It works with quad-core CPU with Snapdragon 800 chipset ticking at 2.3GHz and 3GB RAM. Among the features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the S Pen. It runs on the new Android 4.3 OS and that is why it can be paired up with Galaxy Gear. Both, the smartwatch and the phablet launched by AT&T will be offered in two color variants – white and black.
