ASUS Nexus 7 and other devices coming soon
We all know that the modern mobile devices are not quite durable. In a year or so their shell looks rather ‘exhausted’ and, moreover, the new functions and features of the next models are quite tempting. So it’s no surprise in the rumour that a new ASUS Nexus 7 is being developed, along with a new handset by the company.
According to the reports, ASUS is planning to release a few new devices in the next quarters. The first of them will be a new ASUS Nexus 7. Probably the tablet will be announced at the Google I/O in May, and a month later we may see a new top end smartphone.
It’s not yet officially known what exactly will the phone employ, but we have some idea. The device will have either a 5’’ or a 5.5’’ display and will come with a beasty Intel Atom Z2580 dual-core processor (Clover Trail+ clocked at 2GHz). This processor is a dual-core and some ‘specialists’ may denounce it, but in fact it has won against Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 in a number of benchmark tests. Moreover, the device will have a 16MP shooter and 2GB operative memory.
More impressive, however, will be the new ASUS Nexus 7. Recently the competition between tablet manufacturers has become even more severe, especially when it comes to 7-inchers. A lot of people prefer getting a Nexus 7 or an iPad mini. The new ASUS Nexus 7 will be an enhanced version of the old one – it will sport a Full HD display and its side bezels will be much thinner. The device will come with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and its price will remain low – it will range from $199 to $249 for the version that supports Wi-Fi connection only.
