Asus makes magic on Mobile World Congress
Nobody can announce a new device like Jonney Shih – the always smiling CEO of ASUS. He proved he is unbeatable showman once again on the second day of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, where he unveiled the Fonepad and the Padfone Infinity.
The Padfone Infinity was announced with the help of a Magician. He got out the smartphone by inserting his hand in a kind of a screen, after which gave it to Jonney Shih. The latter showed it around and wondered where its tablet dock was. It appeared to be hiding in the sleeve of the magician. He gave it to Mr. Shih, who stated ‘But I can be a magician, too!’ and with the widest smile inserted the smartphone into the tablet. You can see the video bellow for the tricks – some scenes are cut, but it is still quite amusing.
After that, without more magic, Johnny Shih played his last trump-card for the conference – the ASUS Fonepad. In addition to the two devices, ASUS showed off their AO cloud services. Let’s just mention that the Padfone’s resolution is 1920×1200 and the 7-incher will compete with Nexus 7 with its 220-euro price in Europe and $250 in APAC. You can see the hands-on of the device below the magic show which Asus provided for us.
