Archos presents 4 new devices days before MWC 2014
Archos introduced 3 new smartphones and a tablet
Archos officially announced its new models smartphones and a tablet that will be presented at MWC in Barcelona.
The tablet that will be displayed at the event is Archos 80 Helium 4G. It arrives with an 8-inch screen with a resolution of 768 x 1024 pixels. The slate has a quad-core processor under the hood with Snapdragon chip. The built-in memory in the model is the modest 8GB. Fortunately the phone is provided with microSD slot. The main shooter of the slate is 5MP on the back. With this phone users can record 1080p video. It is powered with a 3500mAh battery. The price of Archos 80 Helium 4G is £230. The tablet supports Cat. 4 LTE connectivity.
Archos 64 Xenon is the largest smartphone in the group. It comes with a 6.4-inch 720p display. The phablet works with quad A7 with MediaTek MT6582 chip. The GPU is Mali-400. The plus-sized model is armored with an 8MP rare camera that captures 1080p video. It boasts only 4GB storage which is expandable. The battery of the model is 2800mAh. The phablet supports 3G and HSPA. It costs £200.
Archos 50c Oxygen is a modern smartphone with 5-inch IPS LCD display. It features a 720p resolution. The Archos 50c Oxygen works with an octa-core 1.7GHz with MT6592 8x Cortex-A7 in configuration with 1GB RAM. The GPU working in the phone is Mali-450. The smartphone features 8MP camera on the back. It supports dual-SIM. The connectivity capabilities of the model include HSPA, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi etc. The price of the newly announced handset is £200.
Archos 40b Titanium is the smallest and the slimmest new device. It is a dual-SIM version of the currently available Archos 40 Titanium. The phone has 4-inch WVGA display. It boasts the same specs as the original model. The rare shooter of the phone is with 5MP. It supports HSPA, 3G and Wi-Fi. It comes with more modest battery – 1400mAh cell compared to the battery of its predecessor – 1500mAh. The new smartphone will be available for purchase for £99.
