Apple iPad 3
Apple iPad 3 released in March 2011 was called by Apple “the new iPad”, in order to highlight the new features and improvements made by the company. iPad 3 has the higher resolution display ever seen in a tablet up to its release. The screen is 9.7 inches with a 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution. The third gen iPad offers also improved cameras and a light and slim aluminum shell. Apple hasn’t changed much of the iPad 2 design, so you can be easily mistaken if you have both tablets side by side. However, the Ipad 3 is one millimeter thicker and slightly heavier with its 652 grams for the Wi-Fi version and 662 grams for the Wi-Fi + 3G version. Apple iPad 3 includes an improved processor (Apple A5X) which ticks over at 1 GHz backed by 1 GB of RAM. The main camera has been significantly improved compared with iPad 2. In this model, you have 5 MP at your disposal and the quality of the output is much better. Apple iPad 3 is powered by a non removable Li-Po battery with a capacity of 11560 mAh, enough for at least 9 hours continuous usage. Finally, the operating system is iOS 5.1, upgradable to version 7.0 | |
