Apple iPad, the first gen iPad was launched in March 2010. It has a 9.7-inch screen with a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution and a 132ppi pixel density. The screen is protected by scratch resistant glass and offers 16M colors. The tablet measures 242.8 x 189.7 x 13.4 mm and weighs 730 grams. iPad is offered in three options, according to the internal storage – 16, 32 and 64 GB version. All comes with 256 MB of RAM. In terms of connectivity, iPad is equipped with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G (optional) and USB 2.0. The operating system is iOS 4 upgradable up to iOS 5.1.1. Apple iPad has several advantages. First, it can be connected to the Internet through the faster 3G networks or via Wi-Fi if you prefer. It is a GPS enabled tablet which means users can pinpoint their locations on a map, making the device more useful for navigation and location-aware apps. The tablet offers a sharp and detailed display and a fast processor making the day-to-day usage flawless. The battery is large enough to give you 10 hours of continuous use including video playback. Ipad is without doubts the most celebrated device in 2010. It is up to you whether paying the price is a good decision or not. |
