App Reality Show Second Season of Nokia India, with Money Prizes and Chances to Win Lumia 1520
The app reality show of Nokia India started its second season. The show is entitled “Your Wish Is My App”. The success of the show in the first season was massive. The show has done a great job for feeding the imagination of app buffs. Its first season started in January 2013. Now January 2014 sees the second season of the app reality show.
In fact, the show is a kind of campaign. It helps consumers to gather and share ideas in the app reality show. There are plenty of ideas which can be developed to bring out useful apps for Windows Phone devices. One benefit of participating in the show is the opportunity to bring forward ideas. The other benefit is that the winner can become a millionaire.
There were a total of 38,000 ideas submitted during the first app reality show. This year Nokia hopes the number of ideas can exceed 50,000. There will be a shortlist of the 30 best apps. Then they will be included in a reality TV show. The show will include nine episodes and will be broadcast on NDTV Prime. The showing will be in March.
The prize for the winner is INR 1 million. There are also prizes for the two runners up. They will receive INR 500,000 and INR 200,000, respectively. But that is not all. Three people will be able to win a Nokia Lumia 1520. There are a number of eminent persons in the jury. There is the Managing Editor of NDTV Rajiv Makhni. Another jury member is Vishal Gondal who is an entrepreneur and an angel investor. There is the founder and executive vice president of naukr.com, Sanjeev Bickhchandani. There is Vikas Khanna who is a New York based celebrity chef. There is also a Bollywood actress ¬ Kalki Koechlin. The criteria for choosing the winners will include originality and relevance of the ideas shared during the app reality show. The jury will also judge the practicality of these ideas.
Everyone will be able to see the top 4,000 ideas. They will be posted on the community portal of the Nokia developer DVLUP, dvlup.com. Then experts in apps will be invited to develop the top apps. Nokia will provide them with consultations and with technical support. Nokia will also invite people to share ideas during the Social Media Week to be held this year in a number of cities: Bangalore, Hamburg, Milan, Copenhagen, Barcelona, Lagos, New York, Tokyo.
