Aluminum Samsung Galaxy S5 may come in 2014
Even the biggest Samsung lovers that all Samsung devices have one common feature that seems to be a little bit annoying for some people. This is the plastic design body of all Samsung devices. From the lowest budget device like the Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo to the most premium cutting edge device – undoubtedly the Samsung Galaxy S4 – they all have plastic body and this is driving some people crazy. When we add to this that this year’s HTC One featured aluminum and that was considered a great advantage over the S4 from some critics it really does sound logical for Samsung to address this problem.
Well, maybe Samsung has already addressed this issue if not for all at least for the most premium Samsung device that will come out in 2014 – Samsung Galaxy S5. New report suggests that Samsung is about to start a new design line for all Samsung devices. Samsung phones that will be launched in 2014 may use magnesium, aluminum and metal in their body, instead of the traditional polycarbonate. Samsung is said to be working on the new design model in their factory in Gumi, Korea and possibly some of the work might be carried out in Vietnam. This is all based on rumors that supposedly Samsung engineers dispatched to Vietnam.
All signs lead to the conclusion that Samsung is really doing it this time but it is far too early to make such generalizations and conclusions. As most news at this point you should take it with a grain of salt and not believe it word-for-word. However, if Samsung really brings this big design change along with some pretty nice specs improvements and a little bit of focused marketing Apple may have serious problems with this change and the market share may turn to a battlefield even more so than now.
