Leak from Bluetooth SIG reveals the specs of the alleged HTC M8
The next flagship of HTC will be unveiled sometime in February-March according to leaks and rumors. The high-end smartphone has been spotted numerous times in leaks and gossips coming from different sources. The most popular names of the device are HTC M8 and HTC One 2. Not long ago the famous leakster @evleaks made the hint that the model might be dubbed with the codename 0P6B.
We have seen the 0P6B120 device in leaks from benchmark tests while ago. You do not need to be a detective to read the clue that the 0P6B is actually the upcoming successor of the HTC One. Recently a new confirmation of this theory came from the database of the Bluetooth SIG. It seems that a device named P6BXXX has been certified to work with the bands on three of the biggest carriers in the States – T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon. The above mentioned mobile operators are offering the current flagship HTC One, so it is logical to make the conclusion that HTC M8 will land on their shelves.
The most rumored time for the debut of the new model is at sometime in March. It is expected to arrive with a 5-inch display with 1080 pixels resolution. The operating system that powers the smartphone is Android 4.4 KitKat. HTC M8 will run on the newest UI update of HTC – Sense 6.0 version. The CPU ticking under the hood of the smartphone is quad-core Snapdragon coupled with 2GB RAM. The model will support microSD cards. The latest rumors about the announcement of the HTC M8 suggest that it might debut along with a mini variant. The HTC M8 Mini will work with dual-SIM. In terms of specs it will be a slightly improved version of the HTC One Mini available at the moment. The new mini smartphone will work with 4.5-inch display and will support microSD cards.
