All Motorola DROIDs with new Clear Pixel technology
The new Clear Pixel technology on the new DROIDs becomes increasingly more popular and the new series of DROIDs will also feature it. It goes with a 10 MP Camera with LED flash and it is up for some amazing pictures. All new smartphones from Motorola – the Motorola DROID Ultra, Motorola DROID MAXX and the Motorola DROID Mini come with this 10MP RGBC Camera which also supports even better pictures in dim environments and low light.
The whole process in details can be explained like this – camera sensors need a filter on top of the pixel array so it is able to register actual color. The standard is Bayer RGBG filter in it each 4×4 pixel area on the sensor is covered with red, green and blue light filters this only allows the correspondent red, green or blue light, which means that each pixel with red filter on top of it only gets red light and the rest of the light information is simply lost the same principle applies for the other colors.
Now the difference that Motorola adds with this new piece of technology is that in the new Motorola DROIDs and an RGBC filter is used on top of the sensors. The new filter used provides 50% more clarity because one of the four pixels gets unfiltered amount of light which is responsible for the 50% better efficiency and it is extremely useful in low-light conditions and it also helps your camera to snap even quicker pictures during the day but it is important to note that when the environment this technology allows the device to make more of the available light and to produce a much better picture, which will be highly useful for people who prefer going to discos and for people who are going out at night in general. This only one of many reasons that make the new DROIDs exciting.
