Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra was announced as the fourth slimmest smartphone up to date. It is a mid-range device that is just 6.5mm thick. It sports a decent 4.7 inch HD Super AMOLED display that has a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Though this slim design is not so comfortable, it looks nice. The whole body weighs 115 grams. This model doesn’t have a 3.5 mm audio jack, so you need to plug the headphones in the microUSB slot instead. The 4.7 inch display has a great viewing angle that shows vivid and realistic colors despite the light condition. The interface is Android 4.1 Jelly Bean that comes with some pre loaded apps like Skype, Deezer, Torch and TouchPal –a virtual keyboard. The processor is an average dual-core Media Tek clocked at 1.2 GHz, so don’t expect to blow your mind. The CPU is backed by 1 GB of RAM, and you have 16 GB of internal space to store your files. Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra supports 3G and has WiFi, Bluetooth, FM radio and GPS. For making pictures you have an 8 MP camera on the back. Overall, this phone has an elegant design, but the battery life is below average. |
