A quick look at the leaked Android 4.3 Jelly Bean
A new Android ROM leaked a few days ago for the Galaxy S4 Google Play version, but if you hope to see Key Lime Pie you will need to wait – it is still the Jelly Bean version. Actually, in the new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean version there will be few user changes. Take into account that this build could be far away from the final version, so we may see more changes in the coming weeks.
First, there is a new camera app and the main change is in the settings bar, which has been changed from a full circle into a semi-circle. Users are able to use the volume button as a shooter. At the same time, some of the features available in TouchWiz and Sense are missing.
There is an “Always on WiFi” option in the Advanced WiFi settings. If you turn on the “scanning always available” mode, your WiFi will be always on. It would decrease the battery life, but if you compare it with the GPS positioning mode, it would actually save the battery, because the GPS chip is a much bigger battery drainer.
The Bluetooth low Energy feature helps you to maintain the battery, while the Bluetooth consume less power. This mode was rumored for a while and it seems that is now official – it has appeared in the System info App.
There are some other changes in the new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The Sun Beam live wallpaper has been renamed to Phase Beam, there are new developer settings while other settings have been rebranded. To conclude, the new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean has a few user-facing changes, but we don’t know if this is the final build. We may see a couple of new things and it shouldn’t be too long of a wait before we see the final version of the latest Android mobile operating system.
